Good afternoon, folks. It was absolutely frigid this morning, but the sun is helping us out a bit this afternoon. The focus of the forecast continues to be on a Thanksgiving cold front bringing rain and the potential for some festive flakes.
Before we look ahead, let’s take a look back at the cold morning across Kentucky…
It was frigid this morning with most areas deep into the teens. Here are the top 10 coldest locations from the Kentucky Mesonet. #kywx pic.twitter.com/nRQw1SyGSV

Just about the entire state had readings in the teens. Told y’all it was going to get cold this week!
Temps rebound on Wednesday ahead of our Thanksgiving cold front that brings rain to the region. Cold air comes in behind that and gives us the chance for some flakes to show up across central and eastern Kentucky Thursday night and Friday morning. The models are actually agreeing on this scenario playing out…

Short Range Canadian
Even the GFS is trending toward the flake action…
The EURO has a few flakes in there in the east, but not many…
The next system rolling in later this weekend continues to show up a little better on the EURO…
We will have to play the wait and game with that one.
Enjoy the evening and take care.

SSSHHH! SSShhhhhh…LISTEN~
I hear The Snow Train-comin’; It’s rollin’ ’round the bend,
And I ain’t seen snow since I don’t know when,
I’m stuck in Snow Drought Prison and time keeps draggin’ on.
But That Train Keeps A-Rollin’
On down to sites unknown…..
Well, if they freed me from Snow
Prison, if that Snow Train was mine,
I bet I’d laugh, and play, and be happy all the time,
Far from Snow Drought Prison, that’s where I want to stay,
And I’d let the Winter whistle
Blow My Blues Away.
Let’s get Festive!!
Good Job
