Good evening, folks. We are rolling into another cold night, but the pattern remains much calmer over the next several days. Once into Super Bowl Weekend, an interesting signal continues to show up for a potential bigger winter system.
Before we look ahead, let’s take a look back at some of the “Weather Tweets I Got”…
@NWSILN @Kentuckyweather @MasonEmergency
After previous report. Same location picked up an additional 0.6" of snow accumulation.
Also reporting tree damage along Navaho drive. Mostly minor limbs but some major damage. https://t.co/ssecjTHumN pic.twitter.com/VXrPPAvYiW

Temps do rebound a bit over the next few days as this pattern calms down. Even with a calmer pattern, I can’t rule out some light snow and flurries showing up on Monday then again Thursday and Friday.
The more interesting setup is for next weekend. With my Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl for the first time in 15680874 years, I can pretty much count on mother nature trying to ruin my SunDEY.
Several models have been pointing toward something for a while now and the EURO has joined the party…
That’s still a week away, so here’s hoping that totally disappears in the coming DEYS. See what I did there?
Have a good one and take care.
Thanks Chris, that looks like a lot of DAMAGE on the hardwood trees in greater Lexington. It will take a whole lot of work to prune, and time for the trees to recover. I still have a countless number of trees that are broken or misshaped around my cabin from the 2009 Ice Storm.
I don’t like the way the precipitation is arcing around the northwest edge of the Bermuda High in the Southwest Atlantic. I think this feature works to cause ICE STORMS here in Kentucky. It seems to be stronger In the Winter during La Nina years.
Here’s my prediction; the Cincinnati Bengals will WIN the Super Bowl Game 2022 and the Snow or Ice Storm on that Sunday will not happen.
A calm week I will take it.
I’m all in for your prediction Schroeder!
Thanks for all you do CB! I will take calm and quiet week.
