Good Saturday, folks. It’s another super steamy day across the Commonwealth as we track another round of storms toward the state. Some of these may even go severe late today into tonight. A small break in the stormy setup starts next week, but more storms are on the way.
Temps out there today are back into the mid and upper 80s for many with a local 90 showing up. Isolated showers and storms will go up across the region before a late day severe threat shows up across the west and central parts of the state. This is where the Storm Prediction Center has the greatest chance for severe weather…
Damaging winds and large hail are the primary players once again.
A cold front then sweeps in tonight and Sunday with more in the way of showers and storms. This is not a washout by any means as temps drop quickly from northwest to southeast behind the front.
Temps on Monday may not get to the 70 degree mark as low clouds hang in. There’s still a shower chance in the south and east.
The rest of the week looks rather stormy as a slow-moving upper level system works into the region…
Waves of showers and storms are likely during this time and that may take us into the start of the Memorial Day Weekend. Some of the storms may be strong and could put down quite a bit of rain.
The various forecast models are showing some hefty totals through this coming Friday…

Possible Watch Areas
Have a great day and take care.
I could use a little rain but not what is forecasted.
We could use a lot of rain here in South Central Kentucky, as it hasn’t rained in weeks.
Rain is always in our local forecast, but never becomes reality.
I have question about severe weather in Science Hill and Eubanks in northern Pulaski CO get so much severe weather? It seems like everytime we have severe wether they get hit. Am I wrong?
I don’t think that Northern Pulaski County is nowhere vulnerable to Severe Weather as any other county in Kentucky.
It happens there more than anywhere in eastern KY
Therefore, Paul I stand corrected about the storms in your area. Here in Taylor County it seems all the rain either moves north or south. Just a few minutes ago we received a nice rain shower though, Maybe it’s beginning to change ?
