Good evening, folks. We are just about to wrap up the work week and roll into the big Halloween Weekend, and we are doing so on a nice note. It’s late in the big weekend when we track a storm system into the region and this will bring soggy times.
The timing on the arrival of the weekend system varies depending on where you live. The west will see the first round of showers and storms by Saturday afternoon and evening. From there, this overspreads the rest of the state Saturday night and early Sunday.
The heaviest rain and thunderstorm action is from Saturday night through Sunday with leftover showers spinning through here for Halloween on Monday.
The models continue to spit out some decent totals with 1″+ amounts likely showing up for some. Here’s a look at the current rainfall numbers from the individual models…
As you can clearly see, the GFS looks nothing like the other models.
There’s a weaker system that’s trying to show up on the models by Wednesday of next week. That has a chance to bring a shower in here and is something to watch for.
What happens after that remains a bit of a mystery and one I will tackle coming up later tonight.
Enjoy the evening and take care.
