Good evening, folks. Clouds are slowly clearing out of the region with milder winds kicking in for the next few days. By the time we hit the weekend, those big changes are still on pace to blow into the region.

Highs over the next few days are in the 70s with mostly sunny skies. Winds will be gusty from time to time as we get set for this big storm system to roll in by Friday night and early Saturday.

This brings a line of showers and storms across the region late Friday evening into Saturday morning before a brief burst of dry air behind the front on Saturday. That window of dry quickly closes as showers work in from the northwest late Saturday and Saturday night.

You can see this playing out on the NAM…

Temps Saturday reach the 60s early on then drop through the 50s late in the afternoon and evening.

Winds are gusty Friday through Sunday and gusts may reach 30mph or greater at times…

All of this comes from another huge cutoff low spinning slowly across our region…

Temps Sunday through Tuesday are likely in the 50s for highs with some showers, especially during the daytime hours.

I’m tracking another big trough a few days after this and I’ll share that one with you later tonight. Make it a great evening and take care.
