Good Saturday, everyone. Let me start out by saying a BIG Thank you to all our Vets on this Veterans Day. And it looks like some great weather for our veterans with sunshine and typical mid-November temps. This nice pattern rolls on for the next several days before big changes show up as we inch closer to Thanksgiving.
Temps out there today and Sunday range from the middle 50s to low 60s depending on where you are across Kentucky with a mix of sun and clouds. Overnight lows range from the upper 20s to upper 30s.
Seasonable temps will be with us into early next week before a weak system brings a few showers in here Wednesday and Thursday. This is ahead of a stronger system coming Friday into early Saturday. That brings wind, showers and colder temps…
This is part of a pattern full of deep troughs digging in from the northwest through Thanksgiving week. These troughs can REALLY deepen and bring some hefty cold blasts in here. The GFS is seeing what the Ensembles have been seeing…
At the surface, we can fire up some stout storm systems with that kind of setup. Combine those with the cold and that could give us the chance for a little winter. That’s also something the GFS is showing with regularity…
I will have another update later today. Thanks again to all the veterans out there! Have a great day and take care.
Thanks Chris. In the extended outlook, some Snow is in my local forecast two days before Thanksgiving. If this occurs it would be a very Festive beginning to the Holidays. Hopefully we will receive the much needed Rains sometime this coming week.
Happy Veterans Day to all !!!
