I am soo ready for spring! Unless we get a foot of snow I don’t want any!
Did you get to read storm report I posted in last thread? If not go back amd read last post I made. That wind that came through about 7:10pm Sunday evening had a tree down report and its hardest wind I’ve had in a few years here. I thought a tornado was going over it was so hard. Can you see that nws jackson ky gets that report? Not trained weather spotter but I am a ham radio operator.
I guess we have to take whatever weather mother nature gives us. It have to warm up sometime soon. Maybe this be our last snow. But rhen again in 2007 it snowed on easter. And 1987. We had near 2 feet early april.
And 6 Inches of snow in Lex. On May 20, 1894

Closing in on a inch of snow in Lawrenceburg, KY, most of it since 5:30 A.M. Roads slushy; temp 31.
Seems the heart of Kentucky has become a fork in the road for big snow, regardless of direction. That said, shoveling heavy wet snow from an sloped big driveway would have been a bummer. Winning! 🙂
Bubba – venting as usual I see 🙂
Just pointing out how uncanny these systems have been following these tracks and a positive spin/rationale that no heavy snow to remove. 🙂
This looks like this may become an over achiever in Lexington. Already a Solilid inch and pouring snow and the radar is not letting go of the snow. On its way to 2″
yea whiler BUBBA keeps cleverly BASHING and BASHING we got almot 2 inches off east 80 in MANCHESTER and coming down,I am up a holler and in city its not laying as much.. round a inch there..
if it was couple degrees colder we been looking at half a foot of snow..
back to BUBBA ur the ring leader of the BASHING CREW, now there are times things need be talk bout etc, but u post like everytime snow is forcasted its being MISSED!!today forcast is on schedule, at NO TIME did Bailey etc give a HEAVY SNOW for ur driveway, but u are hinting at just that in ur post.
u get todays,,,, CMON MAN!!
Nobody is bashing get your head out of the moonshine he just states facts
I think it the rust from the pipes since I do not know what he is talking about. That is at least the third time the editor of the Gunchester Goat Gazette has posted a hit piece.
Seems his subjective to objective reading skill interpretations need work…… Nope not seeing how my comments can be taken as such unless from an already bias source: Themself.
Gunchester is more catchy.
Well i was wrong we have about 2 inches of snow on elevated surfaces
I can’t believe it I just got am email for Winter Storm Warning for Se Ky.It must be going to pick up from what it’s doing now.
After years of experience: laugh at the models, don’t trust the radar, only believe what you see in your back yard…
My back yard In Frankfort maybe a 1/2 inch this morning, the sun been out some recently and all has melted, good, IM glad it is snowing in south east KY today, some folks down their been crying all winter for snow, now bailey can we slowly climb toward normal now please?
NORMAL BEING SPRING??
Crystal that mainly for the HIGH ELEVATION counties, but TONITE when we get below freezing it come quick 1-3 inches for ALOT areas…
we would had 4-5 inches here in Manchester if we had 2 degree colder temps.
that said it pretty snow and enjoyable as roads are fine..
Hi Rollo.Snow is starting to pick up here.It is pretty.
Here in Leslie County, 3-4 inches in southern end of county already, (highest elevations) we could be in for our biggest snow of the winter so far! Winter Storm Warning issued for our county!
Overachiever here 3+ inches
Perhaps 1/4 inch here in Richmond and all melted already — typical…
well we are getting close to matching your season totals
If you are getting close to 3 and 1/4 for the year then you are correct!
Yes
Mother Nature is going to just keep making you miserable.; she not going to deliver a big snow or is she going to turn spring on.she is tired of all the belly aching so she is being a capital B hush and let her get over this so we can get spring going. Hahahahhahha
Just did a measurement 3 1/4 inches of snow so far
We have more snow on ground today than all winter! While it is beautiful, it has come too late to get me excited. But a forecast of mid 50s for the weekend with some sun has me plenty excited! Hang in there Chris and flow weather weenies. Spring IS coming at some point! Thanks, Chris!
Hopefully we can delay it for a while longer 😛
Here in Keavy, we have more snow on the ground than all season too. Got roughly 3+” on ground and snow is picking back up. About time we get a little of some snow love here. Winter Weather Advisory out for us till noon tomorrow for 1 – 4″ more inches. If that happens, watch people COMPLAIN because we got more snow than them. After-all, we have waited since last March for snow.
Come on 80° and pools/grilling.
If this was December 25th I would be lovin the snow but its march 25 th and this sucks! Spring in KY! UGLY!
no sno on ground here nopw, all gone. was pretty this morning though.
it march weather, the snow scattered now, but if u get under a shower u put more down..
Still think Central Ky. will get anything tonight?
Winter weather advisories in CKY dropped
Less than half an inch on the ground at any one time today between meltings…..unimpressed as usual. Bring on Summer!!!!
Snowed all day long where i’m at in Perry Co. Heavy at times.. but none of it stuck (except for the ridgetops a little bit..). If all of it had stuck we would be looking at 6+ inches. Perhaps it will lay after the sun goes down..?
Seems a decent chance the further east and especially the higher up your location.
The real thing to watch out for is when all the pent up warm air starts butting heads with the cooler air. Might be a recipe for big spring storms.
Spring? What’s that spring thing that you are talking about Bubba? 😉
The storm potential that CB mentioned several days ago, once the warm air tries to finally take over.
I stayed in a cabin in the Smokies called Spring Fling once. Good times.
Spring is what we had in December
Oh yeah! We have not really had a Spring yet. Good point!
nothing on ground here in S. Breathitt Co. Has snowed off and on all day a couple times we had a little over .5 inch on ground but all has melted. Just saw where the NWS lowered us from 1-3 in to 1-2 in.
