Good evening, folks. I continue to track a heavy rain setup for the next several days that can cause some high water issues through the start of the upcoming weekend. Beyond that, it’s a slot transition back toward winter.
Light showers are out there this evening, but these aren’t going to cause any issues. Some heavier rains will move into the west later tonight and that will show up on your regional radars…
Waves of heavy rain then target Kentucky Wednesday through Saturday with a bit of a break on Friday. Several inches of rain will be possible and most of the models are hitting this potential.
The EURO continues to spit our a corridor of 4″-5″ rains during this time…

The GFS is suffering from convective feedback because it can’t handle the thunderstorms going up in the deep south, so take the GFS with a grain of salt.
All of this may end as a bit of snow on Sunday as colder air comes back in.
