As you can see, winter weather lovers may be rewarded for their patience during the middle and end of the month. The latest EURO Weeklies match the above models and point toward a 7 day period in mid-February for a pretty good snow signature…

I’ll see you guys for another update later today. Make it a good first day of February and take care.
Thanks Chris. I remember back in March 1960 we had a run of huge Snowstorms in South Central Indiana. Back to back Snowstorms in the first two weeks. Snow accumulation was around 3 feet, and it was that kind of Snow that packed great. Being 9 years old, we built a Snowfort and Snowmen. Watching the skies, and the back to back Snowstorms during my young life got me interested in Meteorology.
Here’s more on that 1960 March Snowstorm in Southern Kentucky. I didn’t realize that the Snowstorm occurred that far south :

I hope we don’t get much more snow.
When I lived in Pennsylvania, February always felt like the longest month of the year, probably because of all the “false starts” to spring weather.
I drive regularly to Atlanta on work trips and go again on Wednesday when they’re supposed to be at 75 for a high.
