Ummmmm… yeah. I didn’t have a chance to really get to put on a detailed post like I had hoped to do this evening. A weather dude needs a little R and R time even if he is actually at work. ha
A few points…
– A clipper heads into the Great Lakes later Saturday into early Sunday. This should bring a period of light snow and flurries in here.
– Will a weak wave of low pressure develop along the front moving through here for Sunday? That is possible and the Canadian model has been showing a decent period of light snow with this.
– Another low will dive southeastward out of the plains states Monday into Tuesday. This will likely bring snow, rain, mix then back to snow to our region. How much? I have no clue at this point and the models really aren’t helping the situation.
A full update will come your way later tonight and I will have a lot of maps for you. Hopefully, that will make up for my lack of a more extensive evening update.
Take care.

Thanx CB..!
But if it’s not too much to ask, could we just go on into spring..? Seriously, maybe I’m getting too old, but kindda sick of the snow and cold, at least that’s how I’m feeling today…!
Mitch, Shane, MJ, Tornadolarkin, WXman, MichealP, Tommy (sorry if I missed someone)…
Thank all you guys for your contributions to this blog with your weather expertise… CB does a fantastic job, but it’s with you guys help that makes this the BEST weather blog in the land..!
Thanks!!!
Thanks, Chris! Everyone weatherman needs some R & R everyone and then. Thanks for such a great blog.
Seriously…..let’s bring on spring. The cold and snow is getting tedious.
There are FLAKES in Lexington..!!!!
Still waiting on the snow… 😉
GO STEELERS, beat those dirty birds…
Is the stuff on radar Virga?
Thanks for all you do Chris! You certainly deserve a little R & R after all the crazy winter weather going on the past several weeks.
Looking forward to the next update with all the maps! Would love some snow eye candy to go along with it but with the word “rain” in the picture, I doubt it will be much candy.
After one more good thumper I think i’m ready for Spring!
I hope Richmond gets 2 feet of snow and the rest of us gets 1 inch..Maybe some will quit complaining about these little “drive by snows” that has accumulated into quite a bit of snow where i live.
Love you Vinny. But quit ya whining!!! Its early January.
So, wishing for spring makes me a whiner? OK…
And you say you love me..! ummm 😉
thanks!
Thanks!
Everyone needs some rest for sure, especially our busy weather man!!! =)
I appreciate all you do, I love reading the blog!!!
12z Euro may be on to something. The 00z GFS came in much colder than the 12z and shows some pretty good snow. Don’t really like the setup on the gfs but it did cool this run.
