Good afternoon everyone. Thunderstorms are kicking it up a notch this afternoon and producing large hail and damaging winds. These storms are moving from the southeast to the north and northwest around an upper level low.
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is now out for much of the area until 10pm. This does include the Lexington metro. Here’s a look at the watch outline and the latest warnings:

Recent report of 1.75 inch size hail in Casey County near Dunnville KY. Hope your cars were inside the garage 😉
Looks like it’s just western parts of KY and TN that are still enjoying refreshing dewpoints in the 50s. The other parts of the two states are already back in the mid 60s with even a few sticky 70s showing up.
Every storm has dryed up approaching Frankfort area, so severe storm watch a major stretch for this part of state?
I see now where they have cancelled the watch, been away from the computer a while!
