Good Thursday, everyone. We have rounds of showers and thunderstorms continuing to push across the bluegrass state today. This action got started on Wednesday and is the beginning of another stormy pattern taking shape across the bluegrass state. Shocking, isn’t it? 🙂

Temps today will top out in the upper 80s and low 90s. As I told you guys a few months ago… please stop paying attention to the official Lexington temperature. Something is corrupting the temperature and it’s skewing historical data. Will it ever get fixed?

Scattered showers and storms will blow up today into this evening. Any storm that goes up will be strong with a lot of lightning and heavy rainfall. You can track it on regional radar…

A similar pattern will be in place for Friday.

A strong cold front will work our way over the weekend as showers and thunderstorms become widespread…

GFS

Some of those storms may become strong or severe and put down a lot of water. Temps will come way down behind the front with highs in the 80s for Saturday and Sunday.

I mentioned this pattern going back to being one that features rounds of thunderstorms moving from northwest to southeast…Euro 2

Something about that pattern looks awfully familiar. 😉

Have a great day and take care.
