Good Monday, weather lovers. We’re rolling into the first full week of August on a very nice weather note. Sunshine and temps in the upper 70s and low 80s are combining for a beaut of a day. Our thing of beauty is about to turn ugly as rounds of showers and boomers roll across the state.
The first of the storms will arrive in scattered fashion on Tuesday as temps head back into the 80-85 degree range. The setup from Tuesday night through the end of the week will feature some pretty big clusters of storms crossing our part of the world. The GFS shows this well…
That type of a setup can mean a ton of rain for areas getting in on repeat showers and storms. That’s something we will need to keep a close eye on. This type of pattern is likely to continue into the middle of the month. That’s when the CFS weekly forecast unloads another huge shot of cool…
That is some serious cool air across the eastern half of the country. While we are cool… check out how most of North America is seeing some big time warmth.
That same run of the CFS shows a similar setup for the month of September…
Can we keep this pattern rolling through the rest of fall and into winter? We will all find out together.
Make it a great Monday and take care.
Thanks for keeping us so informed Chris. I read on a daily basis and love all the information and the models (graphics) you show us. I am anticipating a winter outlook in a couple of months. Should be a fun ride this year!
Chris, how does the weather look for Myrtle Beach the first few weeks of september? Will it be cooler there as well?
I highly doubt he has this on his mind right now.
This is my kind of August weather! 56 for a low, 81 for a high, and tolerable humidity. Keep it coming.
