Good Monday, folks. Our work week is off and running on a steamy note with a few storms joining in the party. This burst of summer air is about to be replaced in a big time way. I’m tracking a shot of chilly air that’s set to arrive later this week into the coming weekend. This should be the coldest air since the spring.
Temps early this week will run in the mid and upper 80s for much of central and eastern Kentucky. Western parts of the state will see the occasional 90 or better. Temps will continue to be touch and go based on the impact from scattered storms that go up. These will be on the move again today and regional radar is your best good friend…
The blast of chill shows up behind a strong cold front that sweeps in here late Thursday into Thursday night. This is impressive…
That has to tickle your fall fancy! Now, take a look at the temps the GFS is spitting out…
There’s almost a little Brr factor to those numbers and the GFS Ensembles show you why. Look how far below normal temps may be…
Bring on fall!
Have a great Monday and take care.
The GFS AND Euro show another shot of even colder air following the one this friday. Both are showing highs in the mid 60’s and widespread mid 40’s for lows. Have to wait ’till the afternoon model runs to believe them
This afternoon model runs don’t show what I was talking about this morning so it was just an illusion.
I am ready for the cool weather!
I have push-mowed my yard every other day since April. Have not had to water anything this year!
Have not had a scary storm this year!
Very happy camper. 🙂
