Good Tuesday, folks. Our weather has been way too steamy for most folks, so mother nature is going to cut us a break later this week. That’s when a surge of fall air moves into the bluegrass state and delivers the coolest air we’ve had since spring. Could we threaten record lows? Hmmm
Highs today into Wednesday will continue to run in the mid and upper 80s for central and eastern Kentucky with a low 90 across the west. Humidity levels will make it feel even warmer. Isolated storms today will have a little better coverage on Wednesday.
Here’s regional radar…
Our cold front will sweep in here Thursday with a line of showers and thunderstorms. Check out the blast of beautiful air coming in behind it for Friday and Saturday…
Highs from 70-75 will be common both days as partly sunny skies return. The lows this weekend will be on the chilly side…
Yes… the GFS shows readings dropping into the upper 30s across parts of eastern Kentucky this weekend. If the above numbers are right… record lows would be in jeopardy. Wow!
Some of the models are hinting at another shot of cool for early next week…
‘Tis the season for fall cold fronts! 🙂
Have a great day and take care.
Western KY getting some good rains this morning, hope this August weather stays away after this next cold front, ready for real fall weather!
Heat index 99 on September 10th, Temps way above normal!
When was the last time we had a heat advisory in mid Sept.?
T-storms around Nashville are – for the moment anyway – causing a break in the high heat index values. A strong gust a while ago; I estimate at around 25mph.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect northwest of the city.
