Good Sunday, everyone. I don’t have enough words to describe the awesomeness of the weather we’ve had this weekend. So… let’s just soak up what’s left of it and move on. We’re heading into the second half of September and the pattern is taking on a rather busy look. Let’s get into it.
Clouds will increase from west to east later today as temps hit the 70s for highs. These clouds are ahead of a cold front that blows into town early Monday. There isn’t much moisture with this front…
This will keep our temps down into the low and mid 70s for the central and east, with upper 70s in the west. Tuesday should see similar thermometer readings as late day clouds return.
That will set the stage for our pattern to become much more active. The GFS continues to advertise showers and thunderstorms for the second half of the week into the coming weekend…
The overall look to the pattern is really revving up. The 500mb maps from the European Model show a setup that’s just itching to get a little wild…
That doesn’t look a whole lot like we would normally see around here in September, and could lead to some busy times ahead.
Have a great Sunday and take care.
Are you saying that might be winter fun or summer storms if its storms then Boo..,,,
I’ll take any rain that comes our way Chris, My area of Frankfort has had .35 of an inch of rain for all of September so far!
Chris would like to hear some of your thoughts on this winter
