Good Monday, folks. Our weather has been gorgeous, but rather boring over the past few weeks. Of course, boring weather and September usually go hand in hand. But, the pattern looks to start waking up this week as the setup starts to look a little energetic.

A cold front is crossing the bluegrass state today and will bring a broken line of showers with it. This doesn’t have a lot of juice to work with, but keep an umbrella around to be safe. Regional radar will walk you through the action…

Temps today will be cooler than what we had Sunday. Most areas will top out in the 70-75 degree range as skies slowly clear during the afternoon and evening.

Tuesday’s weather looks pretty darn good with temps in the 70s and a mix of sun and clouds. The clouds will increase as the day wears on.

Overrunning moisture pushes in Tuesday night and Wednesday and that will help fire up some showers and thunderstorms. The NAM is impressed with the Wednesday rain chances…

NAM 1

Scattered showers and storms will be around into Thursday as temps warm and humidity levels increase. The threat for showers and storms will increase Friday into Saturday as potent system works across the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley…Euro

I mentioned over the weekend that our pattern had the look of one wanting to take things to the next step. Check out what the European Model is doing early next week…

Euro 2

That’s a nice trough across the east with a tropical system working out of the Caribbean to just off the southeastern coastline…Euro 3Something about that scenario looks very familiar… don’t ya think? Regardless… that’s more than a week away and probably not going to work out that way. But, if you take a step back and look at the overall pattern… it has the look of one that wants to get a little crazy across North America.

Have a great Monday and take care.
