Good Thursday, folks. There really isn’t much else we can say about the weather this week… it’s awesome. That weather will hang around into the start of the upcoming weekend, so go out and enjoy it. You should REALLY take advantage of it because major changes are moving in next week.

Short term weather will feature low to mid 70s for highs and 40s for lows. Skies will be mainly sunny, though the system along the coast may throw some clouds our way. I still can’t rule out a shower popping across far eastern Kentucky.

The weekend starts off on a great note with highs in the low to mid 70s with an increase in clouds and wind. Those clouds area ahead of a cold front that moves closer on Sunday and it could bring isolated showers and storms into town.

The big change arrives by later Tuesday and Wednesday of next week when a big storm develops across the plains. This may have a snowstorm behind it and heavy rain and storms ahead of it. That’s the weather we should get in on…

There continues to be a strong signal for a big blast of cold air coming in behind that front…

GFS 3 GFS 5Let’s see what this pattern has up its sleeves.
