Good Wednesday, everyone. We continue to see more in the way of awesome weather across the bluegrass state. Chilly nights with mild and windy days will be common for the rest of the week. Enjoy it… that is going to really change as we head into next week. The pattern is looking pretty active for the rest of the month.

Readings this morning will bottom out in the upper 30s to low 40s and rebound toward the 70 degree mark. Skies should continue to run on the mostly side of things, but a few clouds may work across eastern Kentucky. Those clouds are in response to a big, slow-moving storm along the east coast. That sucker may be there for the next week and is a sign of our blocky pattern.

That MAY throw a shower into eastern Kentucky at some point tomorrow. Otherwise… highs will top out between 70-75 degrees and that should carry over into Friday and Saturday.

That’s when a cold front approaches the region from the west. This front will work in on Sunday and should bring some scattered showers and storms to the region. This isn’t a very strong front, so don’t look for a repeat of this past weekend.

A much stronger storm will move our way into the first half of next week…

Rain, thunderstorms and winds would accompany that type of a storm system. Much colder air will filter in behind the storm for the middle and end of the week as a deep trough digs in…

Euro 2

I’ve been talking a lot about blocking showing up and that continues to be the case. The two blocks I’ve outlined would force chilly air southward into the states for the second half of the month…

Euro 3A few of the analog years had some fun and games toward the end of October and early November. That is something I’m taking a closer look at. Stay tuned.

Have a great day and take care.
