Severe Storms and Flash Flooding Possible

Good Thursday, everybody. Pockets of flash flooding have been common over the past few days with a big increase in the flash flood threat coming tonight through the weekend. That’s when waves of strong to severe storms rumble across the state, bringing torrential rains and flash flooding.

Today will feature some fog and scattered showers and storms to start with partly sunny skies taking over into the afternoon. It’s a seasonably warm and humid day out there.

By the evening, a complex of strong to severe storms should be going to our northwest. That will then rumble across the state from late evening into the overnight hours and some of the storms may be severe.
