Good Monday, everyone. We are getting a rare combination for fall lovers as an extended period of awesome fall temps coincides with fall colors that are absolutely exploding. It’s a weather pattern stuck in neutral and that’s a good thing when the weather is perfecto.

Let’s begin with those fall colors to start the week as Moderate Color is rapidly showing up across central and eastern Kentucky…

Expect moderate to high color to show up statewide by this weekend.

So that’s the awesome fall color part of the duo. What about the fall temps? Today is in the 60s for many after another frosty start. From there, this week’s high temps are remarkably consistent with mid 60s to low 70s each day through Friday…

One of the main reasons for our nice weather is a developing storm system off the east coast…

This thing is in no big hurry to move and that’s pretty much blocking up the pattern behind it across the lower 48. This system may actually become something tropical and the threat is increasing on this happening…

As that system gets out of the way, something else may try to crank off the southeastern coast or near Florida starting next weekend into the final week of October. The Canadian has it…

The GFS sees something as well…

Again… nothing about that resembles a strong or Super El Nino should look like, but we’ve already talked about this on many occasions.

Enjoy a magnificent Monday and take care.
