A new TORNADO WATCH is out for parts of central Kentucky until 10pm. Here’s a look at the latest watch and current warnings…
The TORNADO WATCH for northern Kentucky goes until 8pm and is a PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) Watch. Here’s a look at the counties included and the latest warnings…
A TORNADO WATCH has also been issued until 7pm central time for western Kentucky. Here’s a look…
The rest of your tracking tools…
Dr. Forbes says a half mile wide wedge tornado with debris ball just moved though downtown Paducah.
Unfortunately, reports of damage in northwestern Paducah.
The big Brookport Bridge over the Ohio River from Paducah to Illinois has been shut down by police.
Heads up, Morganfield KY!!! Strong indications of tornado having just crossed from Illinois, now headed in general direction of Morganfield. Take shelter.
With the cloud cover all day will that help the weather in Lexington?
The humidity has risen out there
Line not developing, looks like south central and eastern Ky are off the hook. Just a gloomy, rainy day. No winds to speak of either
The storms weren’t suppose to develop into a line until it’s further east. It wouldn’t be very wise to let your guard down.
Left Green River Lake earlier this afternoon and the shear was impressive from the ground. Don’t let your guard down as CMG said.
Plenty of wind here in Knox
Not much here in London. Just a gloomy day, hard to believe there is severe weather not far away. We will probably have a few gusty winds when the front blows through, but I’m think in the risk here in our neck of the woods is non existent
Still drizzling here in Breathitt Co. Hopefully that will keep instability down as sunset is not to far off. Really not much heating of the day.
Eastern Kentucky is in no way “off the hook” at the moment.
Low LCL/S and high helicity values still persist.
A new Tornado Watch is now out for much of Ohio that also includes a few northeastern Kentucky counties along the Ohio River.
If there is a silver lining, this new watch is somewhat of a lower-tier tornado watch. Nothing to take lightly. But it’s not like the PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) Tornado Watch still in effect for parts of northern KY and much of Indiana.
Still dangerous. Tornado just went by Greenville KY.
See NWS Paducah’s Twitter feed, as has been very active.
The storms will soon move into NWS Louisville’s jurisdiction.

No sun today to speak of in Lawrenceburg but temp is 65 as the sun sets–sounds like plenty of juice to me…
Curious, as it moves farther east, could we see the tornado risk lower and damaging wind gusts be the main threat?
Tornado sirens going off at NKU. Students are sheltered in place.
Well it looks like SE KY will be out of the Toranado game
Perhaps mostly but not totally. The Storm Prediction Center is now considering a new watch for eastern and southeastern KY. Either a severe t-storm watch or a lower-tier tornado watch. Mainly strong damaging winds but an isolated twister possible.
Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now out for eastern KY/southeastern KY.
Just now noticed the ‘toranado’ typo CB did. Guess the spell check was off. Considering how very busy CB was, understandable.
I agree! Understandable. If I were as busy as he is, I’d probably make tons of typos. His mind is on the weather and our safety, right where it should be. Hugs to you Chris. And thank you!

Glad the damaging winds and storms skipped the frankfort area, now can we move on to winter weather??
