Good Sunday evening gang. What a great weekend we have had across the state… temps have been well into the 60s with sunshine and we get one more day before things crank up as we head into the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I wanted to drop by for a quick update as promised.
The news of the day is the European model is coming around to what the other models have been saying all along for the end of the week into the coming weekend. It’s still not there… but is on its way in showing the cold sticking around for more than a few hours Friday.
Again… this is NOT the pattern for the European Model to handle properly as it does not do well with big troughs coming from the west to the east.
Everything for the middle and end of the week continues to look about the same compared to what we talked about last night. The GFS continues to show the threat for heavy rain and thunderstorms Thanksgiving Day to a quick change to a period of wet snow Thanksgiving night into Friday morning. Just for fun… here is what the model shows for snow by early Friday morning…
Take the placement of that with a grain of salt… but I am leaning to a period of light snow being a good bet during this time.
By the way… the extended period for the first few weeks of December continue to look GREAT for cold and snow lovers. Some big ticket weather events are on the table for this time as winter gets off to an early start. Hmmmm… now where have we heard that before?
Full update later tonight… take care.

The teams are on the court warming up. The first game of the season is about to kick off!
Whether it snows or not, I can’t even tell you how much FUN this is; Love this BLOG. Thanks,Chris. I’m always dreaming of a White Christmas. They are playing Christmas Music on 93.3 WAKW, Cincinnati now and have been for a week or so. I had it live streaming on the internet yesterday while I was cleaning. 🙂
Wow, this is looking great; I am glad to see either the rain or snow as it is so dry!
Thanks, Chris. It is always appreciated when you give us an extra tidbit! Sounds like we made the right decision in putting up the outside lights yesterday! Looking forward to the next update, and more forecasting as you get more of a handle on it.
A inch or 2 of Snow in November would be a great start to the season. Thanks Chris
