That could get ugly before all is said and done. I think another storm follows that up a few days later and is likely to take on an even colder look with it.
I keep saying the same thing… buckle up.
Take care.

With all the cold we’ve had, if we can all get one BIG snow I think we’ll all remember this winter as “one to remember!” I’m loving the possibilities!

Thanks Chris for all you do. Always great to read your posts Coffeady. So very positive all the time no mater the weather. I for one love snow ,but I must admit, I am ready for spring and warmer temperatures. Not too hot and for sure no severe thunder boomers or tornados. I do need to realize however that I do live in Kentucky.

Does anyone know how much snow the Knoxville, TN area got today? Seemed like they were under some heavy snowbands for quite some time.
My sister lives in west Knoxville and she said there is about 3 inches where she lives. She drives a tiny Mini Cooper, so to say the least, she managed to get home and stayed off the roads!

I was Downtown and in North Knoxville today. Looked to be around 3-4″. South into Maryville and East to Morristown and Sevierville, apparently got even more from what friends and family told me.

I would wait and not get too excited about the model runs. Even though the GFS is showing a significant event, it is still incorrect. The GFS is also showing a very powerful southerly wind with the tuesday storm, that would keep us mostly rain with a chance for some wraparound snow on the back edge of the system. These are just models, things will become more clear by this weekend.

Atlanta keeps deteriorating into madness as the day goes on. I’m sure they’d trade their weather today for zombies in a heartbeat.

Ice on the Ohio River in Louisville. Pretty cool to see.

Even though we haven’t had a big snow yet in Lexington…….I really can’t complain because the events we have had so far have been so cool looking, with the blowing snow and cold. Still can’t believe it managed to get to almost 50 the day after that event. Crazy! I know it will take a “FREAK” storm to give us all a good snow, but if that’s gonna happen, this seems to be the year for it…..I wouldn’t be surprised. I just hope we have a trend buster so we can’t stop adding years from Feb ’98.
