Good evening, gang. Your friendly weatherdude has had an action packed day and am just now able to update. I will keep it brief and to the point about the pattern ahead of us. It’s going to be very active and is likely to give us a wild February and a couple of big snows.

The first system rolls our way late this week into the weekend with a messy mix. It looks like snow and rain on Friday… mainly rain Saturday… then a switch to some snow on Super Bowl Sunday. The European Model is laying down some snow that day…

The next system that rolls in by Tuesday of next week and this is the one to really keep a close eye on. We’re likely to be dealing with a moisture loaded system that can produce a lot of nasty weather in our region. The exact track of that storm will decide if you get dumped on by heavy snow, heavy rain, or both.

The latest GFS…

That could get ugly before all is said and done. I think another storm follows that up a few days later and is likely to take on an even colder look with it.

I keep saying the same thing… buckle up.

Take care.
