Good Thursday everyone. Let me start off by saying a nasty bug has your friendly weather dude feeling not so good. I will do what I can do today to help you track the possibility of some strong and severe storms. It is safe to say you won’t be getting the normal storm tracking from me today.
The main threats from today’s storms will be damaging winds and large hail. I have loaded up some map storm tracking maps and radars for you guys…
Have a great Thursday and take care.

Thanks Chris, hope you to get to feeling better very soon!
It would be nice for this thing to over achieve for once! Fingers crossed at least!
Happy Birthday Chris! I’m a September baby too. 🙂
Oh, goodness. I hope you get over that nasty bug a.s.a.p. Take care my friend.
I hope you feel better soon. Take care and Happy Birthday! 🙂

Happy birthday to one of the best meteorologists in the business! Get to feeling better soon!
Hope you feel better soon and get enough relief to enjoy what active weather we do get today….fingers crossed….not for damage but for exciting weather 🙂
First of all, let me say Happy Birthday, Chris! Sorry you are feeling so rough…..hope you are better soon!
OK, so on to the weather….we had some showers here overnight, but nothing major. Looks like there is more to come. Severe? Well, Wxman, or anyone, IF that happens, when is it anticipated?
Feel better, Chris!
Chris, I keep getting moderated….again. 🙁 So I will just say, Happy Birthday, and I hope you are feeling better SOON!
Happy Birthday Chris!! Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon Chris!
Hey Chris,
Sorry you are not feeling well…what a way to spend your birthday! The stomach bug has really been makings its round around the old home town, and now sinus/repiratory problems are kicking up as well!
Happy Birthday! (It’s my husband’s birthday, too!) That bug is a nasty one. I had it a few weeks ago. Was knocked out for a couple days.
Happy..Happy Birthday Chris!!! Hope you feel better soon!!
Happy Birthday to a great guy who is always on top of the weather for all of us…Hope you get to feeling better soon…
Happy Birthday! Thanks for all your wonderful weather updates. I hope you feel better soon!
Happy Birthday Chris!!! We appreciate everything you do for this blog. I sure hope you feel better soon.
wish this rain would stick around a couple of days!!!
Sux to be sick. Sux worse on your BD. Hope you get back to 100% soon.
Visible sat. channel is showing clearing skies across west KY and southwest IN…which is great news. This will surely help our odds of more rain this afternoon…and maybe some warnings.
Happy Birthday Chris and I hope you feel better soon!
Happy birthday, weather dude! I hope you don’t have this stomach virus that’s going around; if so, this is your barfday AND your birthday.
We sure need this rain.
Happy B-Day Chris Bailey! I hope you just have a local bug and not one of those new super bugs people are bringing back from their ‘cheaper’ health care trips to India. I loathe rain but we do need it, so let’s pack in as much as we can today and get caught up. Everyone, please slow down on the wet roads today and drive like you have some common sense.
Happy Birthday, Chris! Get well soon!!! Thanks for all you do!
Thanks Chris for all that you do! Happy Birthday!
I got 0.12″ from the rain this morning here in Nicholasville. Yay!
Happy Birthday!
How wonderful to get the rain this morning! It made me want to stay in the house, on the couch with a blanket though! Here’s hoping we get more this afternoon and evening.
Get well soon, Chris!
0.67″ here in Northern Morgan County as of 3:00PM! Eat your hear out folks!
Check out the new winter weather forecast from Snow Day. Not looking promising for snow lovers in KY.
http://snowday.community.officelive.com/default.aspx
Interesting.
I thought WARMER air led to more moisture, while bitter cold air led to dry with less moisture. Yet on those maps, the bitter cold and moisture are together while the warm and dry air are together. Seems backwards.
Not much to look forward to unless you like ice. Can’t wait for Chris’ forecast. Hope it’s not similar.
Well, that’s just great. Ice, ice and more ice. I’m soooooo excited!!!!! (sarcasm)
Where is the rain? Had very little this morning and don’t see any on the map yet. I thought storms were supposed to fire up this afternoon. Did I hear the forecast wrong? Go reds magic number is 10 dispite the loss today.
No rain……..Was their ever any doubt?
I personally don’t think it will be a dry winter…..Will it be a cold winter? Maybe not, but certainly not dry based on our past history. It’s either one extreme or another around here. It can’t stay this dry for much longer until the floods come. Never a happy medium
I did it again! THERE, not their. I totally know this, yet I do it all the time!
haha Atleast you are smart enough to catch the typo 🙂
Well, here’s hope..had some rain (not much) Saturday and today…maybe its the beginning of something more promising
There are still a few clouds banking up in a line next to each other from about Irvine towards Berea here, not sure if they’ll fire up into any storms, but they looked like they were trying, anyhow..
Also serious tornado damage reported along US 30 near Wooster, OH-also with damage in Orrville, Apple Creek, Dalton, and New Philadelphia. This is my old stomping grounds. Please say a prayer tonight for those involved.
I know this is not the plaace to say it but i would rather have a wet summer than a wet winter. I hate the ice storms we always get around here.
