Good Wednesdsay everyone and thanks for checking out the blog. The weather around here over the next several days is going to be nothing short of amazing. Below normal temps and sunshine will be with us to close out the month of June and usher in July.
Today will mark a very different ending to a June that has been a very warm one. Heading into today… Lexington was on pace to come in with the 6th warmed June on record. Today’s below normal temps will likely drop that a spot or two… but we should still wind up in the top 10 and that is impressive.
Highs on this Wednesday will range from the mid and upper 70s across the eastern half of the state with the west in the upper 70s and low 80s. The same goes for Thursday too.
Track the pleasant temps here…
Morning lows will dip into the lower 50s over the next few days giving an almost crisp feel to the air to kick off what is normally our hottest month.
Sunny and dry weather will carry us into the upcoming holiday weekend. Temps will start to warm and we should top 80 by Friday and into the low and mid 80s over the weekend. This will go down as one of the nicest 4th of July holiday periods we have seen in a long, long time.
Hurricane Alex is ready to come ashore later today across northern Mexico. The impact of this storm will be felt along the Texas coastline as well. You can track Alex here…
That’s all for now folks… have a great Wednesday and take care.
It sure feels GREAT outside!
love the SOUTH PARK SEC COACHES thing gthis year, has JOKER as the JOKER aka BATMAN. it funny stuff.
Chris! I drove through your town last week on my way to the beach! I gave a shout out to you! Did you hear me? LOL!
Me laff lots
No weather to make the news here. All we have on the news here is a story about our government wasting our tax money by searching for a bear in the woods. Yeah…hunting down a native animal in it’s native habitat to kill it. Newsflash: Bears live in the woods. Leave the bear alone.
Once a bear tastes human blood you have to destroy it. If you don’t the bear will strike again whether it be on a trail, campground or someone’s backyard.
CB,
Speaking of sports in your post, when is the last time our sports teams have all been this good at the same time?
Kentucky football goes to 4th straight bowl.
Kentucky basketball wins 35 games.
Cincinnati Bengals win the AFC North.
Reds in contention to win the NL Central.
Which team will win a championship first??????
I’m with you, WXman.
It’s ridiculous. Destroying a native animal in it’s native habitat. What next? Are we going to close airports when a plane tries to land? Close shoe stores because women show up looking for 30% off sales? Having the woods shut down becuase there is a bear is a total joke and waste of time and manpower. It’s enough to make a person laugh.
OHIO STATE…
The biggest problem is people feeding the bears. The bears become unafraid of humans thus setting the stage for confrontation. I’ve had several black bear encounters in West Virginia and Tennessee. They want nothing to do with humans unless humans are feeding them or they have cubs in the area.
This bear has tasted human blood. It’ll want more and it has to be stopped. Sorry Smokey….
I’m talking national or world championships, not conference titles. OSU would struggle to obtain even that in the SEC:)
WOULD BE FUNNY IF IT WASN’T SOOOOO TRUE. CAN’T WIN ANYTHING EXCEPT THE BIG TEN, WHICH IS HARDLY STRONGER THAN HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS RIGHT NOW….ALWAYS THE BENGALS I SUPPOSE…
I thought since it didn’t get out of the 70s today and wasn’t very humid that I would open the windows and turn the A/C off………….Mistake. It got hotter than blank in here.
77.3. That’s my average temperature for June at my house in Lawrenceburg. WOW.
I’ve noticed something that goes along with a phenomenon my met. professors talked about. Our high temps. are not any higher than the past. It’s our low temps. that are increasing…thus raising the averages.
WHO DEY!!!!
I’m still concerned about Carson Palmer’s elbow though.
