Good Saturday, everyone. Our holiday weekend is off and running with some absolutely awesome weather. Low humidity levels, pleasant temps and sunny skies are combining for the dose of awesomeness. If you’re looking for a big surge in temps… that’s on the way as we head into next week.
Temps today will range from the mid to upper 70s for most areas with 80 in the west. Skies look to stay dry.
That will change a bit by Sunday as humidity levels increase and some storms pop across western Kentucky. Highs from 80-85 look likely for most of the state.
Mid to upper 80s will push in for Memorial Day as the air turns muggy. That will bring about the return of scattered showers and storms as the day wears on…
The threat for scattered showers and storms will be around into much of next week as the warm temps remain. Check out how much of the country looks above normal…
The GFS Ensembles offer a wetter solution into early June and that takes our temps toward cooler than normal readings…
Have a great day and take care.
Thanks Chris. Could not have ordered a better weather weekend for Memorial Day. Looks like Mother Nature is going to smile on us for this one. Hope everyone has a wonderful, safe Saturday.
I see the GFS Ensembles are still wanting to fry Nunavut.
Also when will we see the predictions for number of hurricanes this year? The U.S. is due for a big one.
Yes, the US is Waaayyy over due for a major hurricane. We are setting a record for longest streak without a major hurricane making landfall in the US since reliable records began in 1878! It’s been 9 years. I guess this has been really good since the record breaking season of 2005 with Katrina and Wilma (the last major hurricane to make landfall in US)
What a beautiful day it has been today. Not to hot but plenty of sunshine.I have truly enjoyed the last couple of days.Thermometer is showing 67 degrees on the porch now.Almost need a light sweater to sit outside. The slight breeze makes it feel cooler.Almost like an early Fall evening.Perfect weather for me.
I am thankful for the lack of bad weather this year.Hoping hurricane season stays very slow too.
