Here is a perfect example of what I was talking about storms coming from the northwest. They seem more intense and tend not to die out as often. Not saying they won’t die out but when they come from the northwest into the humid tropical atmosphere, they seem to hold there ground well.

Chris..we’ve had two rounds of storms in Lawrenceburg and I’m watching upstream as the third is moving toward us. The lightning is INTENSE. LITERALLY nonstop lightning discharges! It’s the wildest lightning I’ve seen in many years.

Yes it’s constant lightning looking to the northwest sky. It looks like Lawrenceberg (spelling) is going to be the epicenter based on radar

Patty! YES! Their, there. I have no idea why I put there (LOL) My other big confusion is “affect” and “effect”.

How come there are no warnings being issued. Is it because on how they have changed on what a severe storm is ?
If I remember right one part was the diameter of the hail ect ??? lol
thery’re getting closer to versailles now. concerned like chris is about the impact. radar has indicated over 2 inches of rain in shelby county in an hour, minor flooding possibile.

Agree with the amount of rain fall that will be dumped.

They are below severe criteria, but the lightning should be intense. Definitely not safe to be out watching lightning when it gets close. I was just outside and talk about MUGGY!

Is it just me, or do the storms look to be getting stronger and they approach Lexington?

Well… got the camera out to see if this is gonna be a good show.
Sure does look like it from the radar and can already see the lighting from a distance.
Chris, I keep trying to comment, but it is always getting sent to moderation. IF this one gets through, just letting you know that we are reading everyday, and appreciate the job you do. Thanks!
