Good Saturday evening everyone. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out until 1am for extreme northern Kentucky… this includes the Covington area. Here is a look at the counties included…
The latest warnings can be found here…
A line of thunderstorms is racing east out of Illinois and Indiana and will bring the potential for damaging winds and large hail to especially northern parts of the state.
Other thunderstorms will still be possible across the rest of the area and these could be on the strong side. Storms earlier today dropped a lot of rain in some areas creating local flooding problems. Any storm that goes up tonight or Sunday will have tropical rains that can cause more flash flooding. Here are the radars for your tracking needs…
I will update as needed and will send out rapid updates through twitter so make sure to sign up to follow me… @Kentuckyweather . These updates also appear in the top right corner of the blog.
Take care.
got just a few sprinkles in my neck of the woods about 8:30 this morning other than being on the warm and humid side not to bad a day
On the flip side, we have 2.50″ and are now under the aforementioned Severe Thunderstorm Watch. 😉
yeah my area was lucky today as far as the rain goes but it got pretty toasty today
Very warm and humid here North of Hazard today. I don’t think we’ve even had sprinkles since early this morning.
I think it has rained 4 times each of the last two days in Bath Co. We r having a yard sale and we kept getting soaked over and over!
