Good Sunday everyone and thanks for dropping by the blog. Many of the storms Saturday stayed well to our north and no one really complained about that. I would imagine we wont be hearing too many complaints over the next couple of days as we actually get a cold front to make it to our south for a change. This will mean a line of storms early today right along the front. But.. it will also mean some drier and cooler air for this evening into Monday.
That is the good news. The bad news is showers and thunderstorms won’t stay away very long as they are slated to return to the region by Tuesday and will likely stick around a bit. More on that coming up.
Today’s front will have a decent line of showers and thunderstorms along it. The timing of this line of storms into the region appears to be late morning and early afternoon. This is not the prime time to get severe thunderstorms… yet the dynamics of this front may be enough to overcome this and produce some damaging winds. That is certainly something we will watch out for. You can track the storms here…
Skies should clear pretty quickly behind the storms with temps around 80 for highs.
Monday’s weather looks great with highs that may not make it out of the 70s for a lot of the region. Lower humidity levels and some sunshine will help to make it a winner of a weather day.
I hope you take advantage of the the nice conditions as storms and the muggies will be returning for the rest of the week. It will get started Tuesday as rounds of thunderstorms move in from the west and northwest as heat tries to surge back into the Ohio Valley. It is these types of setups that can produce some big time storms that put down a whole lot of rain. Pinpointing exactly where the main axis of storms and torrential rains will set up from this far out is a tough task. But… I am expecting that to be somwhere very close by.
Here is how the GFS model sees it all playing out…
Tuesday Evening
Wednesday Morning
The total rainfall for Tuesday and Wednesday shows what kind of potential we may be dealing with…
Again… don’t take that map to heart as it is only a snapshot of what the model is “thinking” right now. Trust me… it will change.
Looking farther down the road… the end of next week will see heat and humidity fighting back in here as temps should make a run toward 90 once again. I also think the scattered afternoon and evening storms will be with us as well.
I will have updates as needed so be sure to check back. Have a great Sunday and take care.

Do you acknowledge that it is correct time to get the home loans, which would make you dreams real.
I saw the anvil from that one as I was driving home from the Maysville area. Pretty interesting sight. It actually moved SE to Dayton and ultimately east of Maysville, dying out of course long before reaching Kentucky.
Quite the tornado outbreak Saturday night/Sunday morning in Northern Illinois/Indiana/Ohio…
