Good Sunday everyone and thanks for dropping in on the blog.  For those folks who have been wanting a little taste of summer weather… you are about to get a little preview of what is to come. We are going into what I believe will be a familiar pattern for the summer… a warm and humid one with plenty of scattered storms to go around. By the way… the full summer forecast will be out later next week.

In the short term… things look pretty darn good on this Sunday. Highs will warm into the lower 80s for most areas. Western Ky will warm well into the middle 80s. There could be an isolated storm popping up this afternoon.

Get ready for the warm and humid weather pattern as it will carry us through the upcoming week. Highs well into the 80s and high humidity levels will be the norm. This combo will also lead to a daily threat for some showers and storms going up.

The GFS shows this nicely…

So there you have it… a taste of summer ahead for the coming week. Speaking of summer… keep an eye off the southeast coast of the US for the chance for some early season tropical development.

Have a great Sunday and take care.
