Good Sunday evening gang. I am back in the saddle again and will be able to get back to your regularly scheduled blog. Rains have been making their way across the state once again on this Sunday. The threat for locally heavy rains will increase tonight into Monday and this could lead to some flash flooding.
While any area is fair game for some high water issues… the only areas under a FLASH FLOOD WATCH is across far southeastern Kentucky. Let’s be honest… the ground is fairly saturated across much of the region so let’s not use the watch as the gospel when it comes to the threat for flooding.
Track the evening rains here…
I mentioned that much of the area is fair game for possible high water and the forecast models agree…
Those are rain totals from the respective model runs through Tuesday. As you can see.. neither of them limit the threat for heavy rains to the south and southeast. That is why I say to not put too much stock in who is under a watch and who is not.
I will update things as needed. Take care.
Thanks Chris. You had some much deserved time away from your blog. 🙂
It certainly is rainy here north of Hazard today.
Everyone stay safe if you have flooding.
Pouring here in Winchester. Water running down the streets in rivers. Rain blowing in the windows on the north side, and it never rains in that side.
Yuck! With this type of weather I think I’ll stay in and play some video games.
I have wanted to publicate resembling like tip on my website and this gave me excellent thought. Thanks!
