Good Sunday everyone. I guess today’s gloomy weather is fitting for all us Wildcat fans across the region since it pretty much sums up our moods right now. Oh well… it was a heck of a season and one that was as fun as I can remember since the 90s and it’s good to know we have many more fun years ahead of us now.
As far as the weather goes… showers and some thunderstorms are working eastward across the state today and will be on and off all the way into early Monday. Some locally heavy downpours will be possible and you can track the rains here…
The NAM shows this low pressure that moving through here…
This afternoon
This Evening
Temps today will run in the 50s for highs. A few leftover showers and cooler temps will be with us for Monday as daytime temps struggle to get too far away from the upper 40s to low 50s.
Tuesday will begin to see things turn around toward spring in a BIG way. Readings will recover into the 60s as a huge ridge sets up show across the southeastern part of the country. This will likely bring us some serious warmth by the second half of the week into Easter Weekend. Thermometers can easily crack the 80 degree mark on more than one occasion during that time.
For you severe weather buffs… the plains states should be rocking during this time as the slow storm season wakes up in a big way.
Have a great Sunday and take care.
I agree what a dreary day, but the cats did make a good run and had a great season, It sure wasnt the time of yr. to be having a bad game..but it has happened to many this season…lets just hope they stick around to take it all the way next yr…:)
My house is officially in mourning. lol.
The Cats did have a great season but it just was not their night. I still and will Always Bleed BLUE though!
It looks like mother nature will be participating in the mourning process as well today! 😉
y can’t the severe weather be here? 🙁
thanks for the update, Chris. Yes, it was a good season, but last night, they played like the Freshen that ost of them
are. Oh well, losing is never fun. I only hope that Duke gets beat today, too. that way, a team who is not a so-called “regular” has a chance to win it all. I am sure that many brackets are totally busted this morning, so that makes me feel better, too. 😉
As for the weather, I will take some pretty days, and warm temps. We just need to get through these next two, I guess. Have a GREAT Palm Sunday, everyone.
I am happy about warmer temps but the transition back to normal usually involves severe weather. 🙁
RE: the Cats
John Wall posted on Facebook that he, Cousins, Bledsoe and Orton will probably be turning pro, along with Patterson.
With those guys gone, we won’t make it past round of 32 next year.
Radar only showed green, but we just had incredible wind and rain when that line got here..
I opened my front door and stepped out onto my porch earlier. That wind was fearsome! And we had a downpour. It’s still raining, but not as hard.
I’m in Perry County too.
routing for uk basketball is alot like routing for the big snow in fayette county, it can and will happen but many of us probably wont be alive then.
I guess you believe that is really John Wall?
I am pretty sure it’s him. I get the posts from him and Cousins and they certainly seem legit. They both have thousands and thousands of fans who respond to their posts.
Type in his name on Facebook and see what you think. 🙂
Heavy shower just passed through eastern Lauerl County approx 20 minutes ago with some hail pellets mixed in. Temp is in the low 50’s.
It’s not directly John Wall, but someone who is posting on behalf of John Wall. If you look at the timing of some of the posts, he is on the basketball court when the posts are made. The same with Coach Cal.
Don’t forget UK also will lose Harris, Stevenson, and Krebs. Possibly 8 new players next year. But if Coach Cal gets a class half as good as this past one they will continue to win.
UK sucks they cannot even make free throws at least they lost and will not have to be stomped by the real team with uk in it DUKE!!!!
Why don’t you put down the video game controller, come out of your Mom’s basement, and get ready for work tonight at Captain D’s. Oh, and while your at it, loose that ratty soul patch you are growing.
No matter what anybody says, the Cats done a fantastic job this year! They are fine young men on and off the court and made UK basketball fun again. Congratulations to them for an awesome season. They may have not won the championship, but they have won the hearts of thousands of Kentuckians, including mine. I wish them all the very best.
100% agree
Don’t forget about Harris, Stevenson, and Krebs all of who will graduate. That leaves a possibility of 8 new players next year. I know there is no way to get another class as good as this one but if next year’s freshmen are half as good UK will still have a very good team.
well elite 8 would suggest they were one of 8 best teams in d1, which is a far cry from an nit tournament 1 yr ago
Why don’t you stop praising them like they are god its a stupid ball team and a stupid game so why dont u just eat my sh*t dumba**
i love their shrimp platter thing
