Good Sunday everyone. I guess today’s gloomy weather is fitting for all us Wildcat fans across the region since it pretty much sums up our moods right now. Oh well… it was a heck of a season and one that was as fun as I can remember since the 90s and it’s good to know we have many more fun years ahead of us now.

As far as the weather goes… showers and some thunderstorms are working eastward across the state today and will be on and off all the way into early Monday. Some locally heavy downpours will be possible and you can track the rains here…

The NAM shows this low pressure that moving through here…

Temps today will run in the 50s for highs. A few leftover showers and cooler temps will be with us for Monday as daytime temps struggle to get too far away from the upper 40s to low 50s.

Tuesday will begin to see things turn around toward spring in a BIG way. Readings will recover into the 60s as a huge ridge sets up show across the southeastern part of the country. This will likely bring us some serious warmth by the second half of the week into Easter Weekend. Thermometers can easily crack the 80 degree mark on more than one occasion during that time.

For you severe weather buffs… the plains states should be rocking during this time as the slow storm season wakes up in a big way.

Have a great Sunday and take care.
