Good Saturday everyone and welcome to the weekend. It is one that will feature a very good day and a very ugly one in terms of the weather. Once we get through the weekend and early next week… it is game on for one heck of a mild stretch of mild temps to end March and open up April.

Today will be off to a cold start with readings in the upper 20s and low 30s in many areas. Sunshine will quickly warm those thermometers into the low 60s by the afternoon.

Low pressure rolls in here Sunday as rains break out from west to east fairly early in the day. Here is what that looks like on the NAM…

Sunday Midday

Sunday Evening

You can see this will be another decent shot of chilly coming in behind the storm. Temps Sunday will be in the 50s and may struggle to get much past 50 on Monday.

Beyond that… Hello Spring!

A nice ridge of high pressure will set up shop across the eastern half of the country for the middle and end of next week. This will pump in some very warm air with 70s for highs very likely with a shot at 80. This ridge may hold tight into Easter weekend.

That’s all I have for this Saturday. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

Take care.
