Good Wednesday everyone and welcome to a very nice weather day across the state. The bad news is that the nice weather of today isn’t going to last very long and will be one and done as another storm brings rain back in here the next few days. This is a very nice roller coaster pattern that mother nature is on that will carry us into the first part of next week before spring finally arrives in all its glory by the start of April.

Soak up today as we will see plenty of sunshine that boosts our temps well into the middle 60s in many areas. That is the highlight of the forecast…

Low pressure will roll our way Thursday with widespread showers and a few thundershowers. You can see our moisture rich storm here on the NAM…

Thursday Evening

Friday Morning

Showers will quickly increase from west to east Thursday with a late day or nighttime rumble of thunder possible. Locally heavy rains will be possible during this time. Highs Thursday will be around 60 as the rains move in. Much colder air moves in by Friday morning and there is the outside chance that the cold catches the back edge of precip causing a few flakes to mix in across the north. Highs Friday will stay within a few degrees of 50 as clouds try to clear out later in the day.

Saturday looks good as our temps start chilly in the 30s before making a run toward the low 60s again with sunshine.

Just like today… it won’t last very long as low pressure rolls our way later Sunday into Monday. This will bring an increase in showers during this time and a fairly significant chilldown for Monday and Tuesday of next week. Blah!  The really good news is once we get past that shot… TRUE spring is waiting in the wings!

That’s all I have for you on this Wednesday… now go out and enjoy the nice weather. Take care.
