Good Saturday to one and all. The weather today is looking awesome once again before some changes move in for late Sunday into Monday. Since today is such a good looking weather day.. let’s keep this update short and to the point.

Today will feature partly sunny skies as temps warm toward 70 again.

Sunday sees temps warm again well into the 60s with a shot at 70 for those who get more sun. Clouds will increase as showers and some thunderstorms roll in from west to east later in the day as low pressure winds up to our southwest. Those showers will then continue into Monday as MUCH colder air works in here from the southwest of all places. Temps Monday will start out with 30s in the south and 50s to the north and east. Thermometers will then fall through the day with most areas heading toward the upper 30s and low 40s during the afternoon. Winds will be rather gusty as well.

That brings us to the question… can the core of the cold upper low produce some snow or mixed rain and snow in parts of the area? There is a chance… but it is a VERY fine line here and the odds are strongly stacked against it. Don’t tell that to the NAM as it says there will be just enough cold air being dragged down to the surface for this to happen in some locations.

Check this map out for nothing more than the heck of it…

Check out what a snowstorm across the midwest! Wow!!!

Have a great Saturday and GO BIG BLUE!!!  Take care.
