Good evening everyone. A Winter Weather Advisory is now out for much of central and eastern Kentucky tonight into part of Saturday. Snows are moving in from northeast to southwest and will continue to overspread the state. Some of the snows will come down at a good clip with accumulations ranging from 1″-4″ across most areas by noon Saturday. Some locally higher amounts across the east and southeast will be possible.
Here is a look at the counties included in the advisory…
I would have included several more counties to the west and south of the current advisory as i think this band of snow is going to back all the way west to I-65. You can track this band on radar…
Another shot of accumulating snows will be likely Saturday night with another little system diving in from the north. Help us out by posting the weather where you live.
Take care.

Though I’m not included in the winter weather advisory, a look for a nice coating of white by the time I wake up tomorrow.
Currently increasing clouds and a temp of 36 on the Anderson/Mercer line.
REPOST..
LOL!! That sums it up for me too!!!
GOOO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Chris for the update!! did the 18z GFS bring the infamous next week big daddy “NW”??? hmmm
They some snitches….and I hate pumpkins.
I really think that next weeks system is going to deliver. The Latest model runs are keeping this thing northwestward if not a little more each run. Even right now, I am not afraid to say The eastern half of the state could see a five plus inch snow. Maybe more.
the roads are really getting slick here already. It is a very fine snow. The roads have a sparkle to it. Very pretty.
WWA and only 6 comments, Sheesh.. No one’s excited about snow anymore! lol Never thought i’d see the day.
My thoughts exactly!
I agree, where is everybody tonight? We are not included in the weather advisory, but it sounds like Chris would of put us in it. I hope we still get a couple of inches and can’t wait to see what next week brings.
Just now got home and read the update…the radar looks busy!
However, nothing is reaching the ground here on Johnson/Floyd line at East Point.
Wind is howling but no snow yet in Pikeville.Temp 29.
Ashland is beginning to look quite pretty. Sue, you’re right, it is a beautiful fine snow this evening. 🙂
Bring it on baby! I have my snow shovel ready and the kids sled is still in the garage.
I don’t know what I am talking about but hte radar looks loaded comming down from PA and OH!
Hopefully next week is the big one. I don’t want any unless it is a foot or more.
Just took the dog out and noticed a faint halo around the moon. 🙂
See that hole opening up? that would be what would be hitting some parts of central KY. See, this snow dome still exists.
You’re sick
What was a HUGE solid blob of winter weather is breaking up as it moves towards central KY. The wind is really howling here in Harrison Co. but still none of the white stuff. Maybe it will be like 1993 when they called for a possible light dusting and we woke up the next morning to 19 inches…!!!???
Honestly, many of my posts don’t make it through much anymore. They go to the land of moderation never to return. Wonder if that’s where everyone is? Nevernever Land 😉
A local met in Louisville says that this cold blocking pattern should break up and allow spring to come in about 2-3 weeks. Man I hope he is right, I am done with the snow. Bring on the warm sunny spring days and spring thunderboomers (even though this severe weather season will probably be very inactive like the last two, well outside of the Feb 5-6 2008 tornado outbreak, the last two seasons have been very inactive.)
Still no snow in Pikeville but the wind is sure blowing.Wheres my snow????? LOL
A really fine snow is falling here (East Point, Johnson County)
There was a hazy moon out when I got of work and hour ago here in Versailles. We’re in the most western county of the advisory so I don’t think we’ll see much in the way of snow accumulation!
Still no snow yet in Pikeville,I think what has happened is Chris is hogging all the snow up in Ashland share Chris lol.
Looks like the NWS was spot on with the WWA. Some people never learn.
The snow has just started falling in Pikeville.
Well if they are spot on that would make them what 5 out of 20 for the year. So I guess your right just like in baseball .250 batting average is goo enough. However, I prefer basketball where someone hitting 50% is good.
will chris have a post here in the next hour.
Its really coming down now in Pikeville snow is laying on cars.
Hey Legend we need an update lol.Snow is coming down winds a blowing in the big city of Pikeville lol.
I have went up in a Hot air balloon before, but how cool would it to be to go up in the snow I am ready lets go lol.
Anyone have anymore info on our next snow storm? will it hit kentucky, is it moving north?
Hi, mate! I am absolutely accede to this way of assumption and all of joined.
Pharmacy Technician employment opportunities are abundant. Pharmacy technicians work in a wide variety of function settings this includes retail pharmacies this sort of as CVS, Walgreens and Osco, hospitals and elderly care facilities. The hrs are regularly unique from the “typical” nine-five business hours, typically requiring night time and weekend perform. Desire [url= Tramadol COD[/url] highly strong for the subsequent five-10 years given that the child boomer era is coming into the stage of their lives in which they are a great deal more very likely to use prescriptions.
