Good Tuesday, evening. Our arctic front is on the move across the state and temps are dropping like a rock! We’ve been seeing 20 degree temp drops in just an hour or two behind this front. It’s also being accompanied by a gusty band of showers.

The cold coming in behind this has been well documented, so I will spare you a rehash. Most of the attention continues to be on the potential for a late weekend snow maker.
The models continue to change from run to run and that’s to be expected with such an extreme overall pattern. The latest snowfall map from the High Resolution GFS continues to paint a wintry picture from Saturday night through Monday…
I still have a lot of questions about that Sunday system, so don’t get too attached to that map. 😉
Enjoy the rest of your day and take care.

Prelude, which Louisville met was calling for 1-2″? I’ve looked at 3 Louisville stations’ websites and none mention totals.
Well since im being forced it was Monte Webb Whas 11.lol I know that Wave3 Wlky Wdrb are not talking accumulations rather surprised to see Monte Webb throw a accumulation total this early in the game. He said preliminary subject to change
He said this on TV have no clue what the website is saying
Thanks prelude.
Chris don’t sound like you thinking we going to get much snow out of this
the ROLO REDNECK Weather center sticks to 3 to 5 inches late weekend, this puppy continues to look stronger and stronger.
As has been touched on before, snow chances towards the end of this work week are pretty slim. Thus the main snow chances are focused on Sunday. But for the moment at least, the Weather Prediction Center has a narrow snow strip that is more or less along the Ohio River, but even there it seems unlikely to amount to much.
Some good news; for now anyway, any icing is being limited to areas in and near northern/central Texas.
Nashville now down to 40 degrees. Occasional drizzle, otherwise no more precip. But still very gusty at times so a noticeable wind chill. The wife and I recently replaced our home’s 30 (or so) year old furnace. The new furnace promises to be a lot more efficient; it better be considering how many clams we had to shell out for it 🙁 .
Just a short distance to the northwest, Clarksville TN is 36 degrees.
