Good evening everyone. The arctic front continues to quickly work eastward across the state and this will cause all the slush and water to freeze up in a hurry. This will result in some nasty travel conditions developing over the next few hours. Snows will begin to fill back in from northwest to southeast this evening and overnight. Widespread 2″-4″ totals with higher amounts across the east will be likely over the next 36 hours.

Wind gusts to 30-35mph will be likely across much of the area and this will lead to blowing and drifting snows through Wednesday. This may also create white out conditions at times resulting in some of the worst travel conditions of the entire winter. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories continue to be out for much of the region through Wednesday. But… one office is totally dropping the ball. Take a look…

I am simply amazed that the NWS in Louisville has NOTHING issued for their counties. They, along with the other offices, have done an awesome job up to this point with the storm. However… Louisville seems to have packed it in before the game is over. I hate to see them have a poor ending to an otherwise great job.

Track the snows moving back in with the regional radars…

You can also track the cold blast with Kentucky Mesonet…

Keep posting your weather and I will have more updates later this evening. Take care.
