Good evening, gang. The flooding threat continues to take center stage over the next several days as rounds of heavy rain move in. The first round arrives late tonight into Tuesday and lasts into Wednesday. That can easily drop 1″-3″ of rain.
The latest forecast from the WPC agrees…
High water issues are very possible with those kinds of numbers. Throw in the potential for a few thunderstorms, and you have an even higher risk. For the life of me, I cannot understand why a Flood Watch isn’t out for, at least, a part of our region.
The next round of heavy rain arrives late Thursday and takes us into Friday and could drop additional heavy rains. The WPC numbers…
On a better note… I get to cash in on all the extra work hours I’ve built up over the past month! A prolonged period away from your TV is about underway! Yee haw! 🙂
A full update comes later tonight. Take care.
the nws that normally is lagging behind on all the watches and warnings actually has a flood watch out for extreme north east ky til wed. evening so go figure……..
enjoy your time off Bailey. you definitely deserve it. all your hard work is very appreciated.
Well deserved Chris! Thanks for the update and for all you do. Enjoy the time off! Everyone have a great evening and stay safe and dry!
Chris enjoy your time off you have definitely earned it. Will miss seeing you on the evening news for awhile, but understand you need a much deserved break. I agree with the flood watches. They need issued. We have missed around 30 days of school here in Clay and I figure we may miss 1 or 2 days this week because of flooding problems. We will just have to see!!! Thanks again and enjoy your time off.
Just what we need here in Estill county, more rain and more flooding. We are already under a county wide boil water advisory and lot of people have been without water for almost a week.
Enjoy the time off. Thanks for all that you have done for us blog readers and TV watchers, especially during the past 3+ weeks. You deserve a trip to someplace warm and tropical!! 🙂
Congrats on your time off. Well deserved. By the way, if it floods it will be from heavy rain or wet ground. Don’t think it will be from snow cover, I have none left. That is about as fast I have ever seen a foot of snow disappear.
By all means take sometime to recharge your batteries, kick back, rest, chill, or just do nothing. You deserve some time to yourself. Enjoy.
Enjoy the time away with your family. Get away for a couple of days for R-n-R. Thanks for all that you do!
Other than needing to know the potential rainfall total and overall possible impact, which you’ve got a handle on this time, there’s really nothing else to do atm. Get out while you can and enjoy the time to decompress. If you’re not in a hot tub somewhere watching the Cats this weekend, you need an intervention. Gooooo!
That’s great. Everyone needs time off. Enjoy. Get away from all the weather, relax in some sun but don’t forget about us. How could you? We are the loyal fans. I bet you might even find something to do in Nashville!!!!!
Kick back & relax! Enjoy your time off, you sure deserve it! You have worked very hard lately, but you are the best!! Thanks for all you do!! 🙂
Go cats!!!!!! You rock Chris!
Yes well deserved but who will control the weather in Ky while you’re gone? 😉
