Good afternoon everyone! I want to start off by saying thanks to each of you for all the help you give the blog by posting warnings and severe weather information. The blog has not skipped a beat since we switched over to Kentucky Weather Center late last Summer. The numbers continue to amaze me and we are in the process of expanding and adding cool new things to the center. You will be seeing all that in the coming months.

Ok… now that we are past all the sappy things. Let’s talk about the weather.

Storm cluster number 1 rolled across the state earlier today with widespread wind damage and more flooding problems. Some areas reported winds of 70mph. The storms went much farther east than the Storm Prediction Center thought as their Watch was off by about a hundred miles or so.  Not a good thing when you are dealing with 70mph winds!

Cluster number 2 is developing to our northwest near Chicago and may come rolling our way later this evening or overnight. Here is radar for your tracking needs…
