Good evening folks. A serious situation is taking shape across parts of southern and southeastern Kentucky as a major FLASH FLOOD EVENING is underway in some areas.
Numerous counties are under FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS though the evening hours. Thunderstorms continue to work across the same areas and this trend will continue over the next few hours. You can track the storms here…
The radar estimated rains are off the charts! My own personal radar program down load that I have is showing more than 6″ of rain in the past 3 hours across parts of southern Pulaski, Northern McCreary into Whitley counties. WOW! Take a look at the updated total storm rain estimates…
Southern Kentucky continues to deal with severe weather as well with a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH that continues. Thunderstorms have been prolific hail producers as well with a report of near baseball sized hail in Nelson County earlier today. We have had several reports of Funnel Clouds across the south as well. The severe weather threat will continue for the next few hours. Here are a couple more radars for you…
More severe weather is likely Thursday and then again late Friday into Saturday! AMAZING!!!
Keep posting your severe weather and flood reports from where you live. If you have any pics or videos… email me and let me know. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter as well.
Take care.

The storm training going on tonight is unreal. Many prayers going that way tonight.
WOW, it hasn’t been that bad where I am located at in Pulaski.
does the NWS really think we have a chance to hit 95 on Sat as wet as everything is ? or do they really smoke crack
Lexington has had sun all afternoon.
I was just looking at the spc site and I have never recall seeing that many watches out that covered such a large chunk of the US.
With all the watches that are on the spc site reminds me of election day. LOL! Scary looking though.

Massive flooding under way for parts of whitley county into southern williamsburg…I’m talking houses that never have been flooded before, are under water..in the browns creeks area of whitley co… a massive rock slide on highway 92 has the road closed…there are several people dealing with MAJOR FLASHFLOODING down here, unlike anything I have ever seen in my life!!! a normal 30 minute drive home from church tonight took over 2 hrs.. we had to wait for water to recede off the road ….
Chas I may need that nerve pill after all…..:(

******* Massive Flooding underway ****
parts of my county that I have seen tonight is unbelievable to say the least. there are houses with water running through them that I have never seen water in before in my life!!!…water is running very high in the williamsburg area, Highway 92 is closed due to a rock slide…highway 779 in the browns creek area was flooded earlier and washed out in places, our normal 30 min. drive home from church tonight took over 2hrs…
MODERATION
alot of massive flooding going on down here, alot of people in the williamsburg area are flooded out of their homes, especially in the browns creek area…
woohoo
If it didn’t feel so hot in Lexington today it would have been a beautiful day to be outside! Thoughts and prayers go out to the people in our southern counties. Wish I could take some of that rain and transport it to Lexington.
Be safe Rolo!
Hi, mate! I’m totally agree with your way of assumption and all of joined.
