EARLIER DISCUSSION…

Hello everyone and thanks for all of your help with the blog during Friday’s severe weather. It was a day that turned deadly with a possible tornado touching down in Madison county. One person was killed with several other injured. Significant damage also occurred and I will have some pics for you guys
in my next post.

In the short term… more severe weather is likely across the southern half of the state as a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect until 7am…

WW0277 WOU

Here is a look at the latest warnings…

WW0277 Warnings

Thunderstorms are stretching from west to east and this has me concerned about, not only severe weather, but for torrential rains and flash flooding. Many counties across central and eastern Kentucky have been dealing with high water since Friday afternoon. We have had roads closed, high water rescues and homes and businesses flooded. I do not like how the radar looks!! You can follow the storms here…

You get the picture after looking at those radars! “Training” of storms is taking place as they continue to move over the same areas over and over. This is a situation that can get very ugly overnight into very early Saturday morning.

I will be updating the blog as much as I can and will be using Twitter as well. Help us out by posting whatever weather information you can give us from where you live.

Take care.
