Good Sunday everyone! We are in store for one heck of a wild weather ride over the next 24 hours. We will be seeing everything from 70s and severe storms to snow and 30s.

Since we will likely have more posts later today… let’s hit the high points of the forecast. A strong low will be moving just to our west later today. Strong southerly winds will pump temps well into the 70s today as clouds increase from the west. A squall line of thunderstorms is likely to develop along a front that will sweep through here later this evening and overnight. Damaging winds and large hail will be possible with this line.

The Storm Prediction Center has much of the area under a risk for severe storms…

Latest Day 1 convective outlook

The blog will keep an eye on it all so check back all day!

The rest of the story comes in the form of some wicked cold for Monday and Tuesday. Temps Monday morning will fall from the upper 30s and low 40s into the low and mid 30s by early evening. Rain and snow showers will quickly change over to snow showers and squalls and we are likely to put a slushy accumulation down Monday Night into early Tuesday. The models are pretty similar in what they are showing in terms of snowfall…
