Good evening, gang. I have no changes to my thoughts on where this pattern goes into the coming holiday weekend. We see the nice weather rolling through Thanksgiving Day, then the rain moves in. Once that happens, it may stick around a while.
To illustrate what a pipeline of juice we have setting up from southwest to northeast, look at this future radar from the NAM late Friday…
That’s an incredible moisture plume setting up shop and may tap some tropical Pacific moisture. A late season system down there may get caught up in the overall flow and throw moisture our way. Check out the European tries to pull some of that moisture from the Mexican coast through Texas and into our region…
Heavy rainfall numbers need to be watched closely during this time. Enjoy the evening and take care.
Unfortunately rainy and mild. Looks like my prediction on no real measurable snow for November looks pretty safe. As I recall a few weeks ago this was supposed to be the week to keep a eye on for wintery precipitation that’s all changed. Storm system is there the cold just won’t be.
I don’t live in the Lexington area, could someone please share his winter forecast!!

I actually went out of my way to watch at 6. Huge let down vs. all of the talk so far about record El Ninos and what not; more of the same tedious front 2/3 of the season with the chance at some redemption at the end. I will give credit to the comedic genius behind this winter’s Bold Prediction; “Gold Jerry, that’s Gold” indeed. I almost did a spit take at the restaurant. Honestly, if you like winter you need to be rooting for CB to be wrong as well as pretty much every other met I’ve seen so far. He probably won’t be, but in this case I’d like to see him be off base about the first 2/3 anyway.
Remember kids, if we have a big accumulation during a hand full of DAYS, then it’s all we need to have a great SEASON.
Compared to all the 10 + winters or so before the last couple, I will even settle for the 1/3 winter season. Most of the late 90s and 2000s were horrible for snowfall and winter cold. At least the last couple have produced some snow. I still would like to see the LATE 70s repeated, well since I wasn’t alive at that time.
Rodger’s predicting a blah winter weather season with a lot more misses and perhaps one hit.
Thanks CB..I got to see your winter forcast and our local weather man here from WEHT Evansville, ind or Henderson, ky is going to give out his winter forcast tonight and it be interested how he compare to yours prediction.
