Hey everyone! I will have a full update coming up later tonight. I wanted to drop by quickly for an update to show some of the latest maps. This continues to look like a system that will put snow down across much of the region come later Sunday through Monday night.

It is looking like we get two lows. The first comes right on top of us Sunday while the second heads up the eastern slopes of the Appalachians. This is a complicated setup to say the least and I still don’t think the models are fully understanding what all is going on in the atmosphere. Here is the brand new GFS run hot off the presses…

SUNDAY MORNING

SUNDAY EVENING

MONDAY MORNING

MONDAY EVENING

That breaks down like this…

MIX SUNDAY MORNING

RAIN SUNDAY AFTERNOON

RAIN TO SNOW SUNDAY EVENING

EXPANSIVE BACKLASH SNOWS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY

SNOW SHOWERS AND SQUALLS MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY

Accumulation is a good bet from Sunday night through Tuesday. How much is yet to be determined. Here is what the earlier run of the
GFS was showing…

That’s a 1″-6″ snow across the state. The updated map won’t be out for a bit and will probably show a little more than that. I will post it with my late nighter.

Take care.
