Good Monday evening everybody. Snow showers and flurries are working across much of central and eastern Kentucky. Temps are dropping below freezing meaning some slick spots will develop on area roads. Here is a radar view showing the northwest to southeast moving snows…

Some of these snow showers have hit the juice and will reduce visibilities to under a quarter mile in a few spots. They will also put down some light accumulations. Here is a map with my updated thoughts…

The mountains of eastern Kentucky may able to pick up an inch out of the heaviest snow showers. Since we are dealing with snow SHOWERS… we will see some holes in the light snowfall. Overnihght temps will settle down into the low to mid 20s so travel could become slick in the morning. Can we get our first school delay?

Snow showers and flurries will taper off Tuesday with highs only in the low to mid 30s. Winds will be gusty meaning wind chills will be down in the 20s all day. Brrrrrr!

It’s looking like a clipper moving in Thursday and Friday will bring a similar setup compared to what we are currently seeing. The air Friday may be even colder than Tuesday.

I will talk about that and have a look ahead toward Thanksgiving week and some possible fun and games with my late night post.

Btw… the NWS has NO mention of flakes in the forecast this evening for central Ky. I really am ready to give up talking about it since things will never change.

Take care.
