Hey gang! I wanted to drop by for a quick post before I brave the elements and head out to do a little tailgating before the UK game tonight. This either makes me a hardy soul or stupid… with me it’s really an either/or option! ![]()
Here is a look at some of what I will be wearing to the game…

(That one might be a little too much information
)
That last one is in case a ritzy UK party breaks out somwhere! A guy HAS to be prepared!![]()
As you can tell by the tone of this post… I have no real changes as far as the weather is concerned. A mix of rain and snow showers will be with us this evening with snow showers taking over tonight into early Sunday. The first coating of the year will be possible in some areas with the mountains of eastern Kentucky doing better than anyone in that department. Highest elevations there may pick up an inch or two. Highs Sunday stay in the 30s.
Next system arrives for Monday and Tuesday with even colder air and the chance for a light accumulation. Same thing for the end of next week.
My post tonight may be on rather late since I will be at the game. First video forecast coming tomorrorw night. ![]()
Take care!

Before I go… I just read the NWS Louisville discussion and it is a poor effort to say the least. Next week is described as being COOL. Temps running 20 degrees below normal on several days only qualifies as cool to SOME of these folks. Simply amazing! Effort… effort… effort! Speaking of effort… where are their short term forecasts or special weather statements today? Okay… I cant get on a rant right now as I am heading out the door. I will pick this up later! Take care
Looks like you’ve got it all covered, especially in the UK apperal department! Anyway, have a great time and stay warm! Go CATS!
Thanks Chris for the update…GO BIG BLUE!!!
lmk i mean are you not even considering your own models? snow making starts a perfect north in lawrenceburg,indy i road up yesterday and a kind gentleman said snow making should be underway this week!!!!! i am pumped
Ok where is our little NWS buddy at to answer this questions by Chris 😉
According to the 6:00 forcast discussion it looks like those of us in the central part of the state won’t be seeing anything white falling from the sky. Oh well. On to Monday night for me. Maybe then…….
The UK game is looking just as ugly as the weather.
Hey Chris!! Looks like we missed seeing you at the game by one week. Hope it’s a great game and hope you stay warm!! Like the UK boxers LOL. GO CATS!!
