Here in Jeffersonville, KY we got 5 straight minutes of heavy sleet and a little freezing rain. It made me happy because I love winter I can’t wait till it gets all the way here.
YUCK !! the stomach bug has hit my house hold full force, and today is my turn. SO I havent got to enjoy the wintry weather, because the tidy-bowl man and I have had WAY TO MANY meetings today.:(.lol..I have managed to run to the windows in between meetings though..
we have had rain showers that started around mid afternoon but the most recent one about 30 min. ago had sleet mixed with it..Temp. down to 37*

MORNING. DURING THE DAYTIME TUESDAY…3 TO 6 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL
SNOW ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE….WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS AT
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2000 FEET. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TAPER OFF FROM
SOUTH TO NORTH TUESDAY EVENING.
STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL FOR THE EVENT WILL RANGE FROM 3 TO 5 INCHES
BELOW AT ELEVATIONS AROUND 1000 FEET…INCREASING TO 5 TO 9 INCHES
AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2000 FEET.

NOW thats an early season snowstorm brewing..
That was not freezing rain. You have to have rain with surface temperatures below 32 for it to be freezing rain. With the freezing level at 1500-2500 FT above the ground, lots of sleet and plain rain were reported. Good call Chris.

Hello neighbor, I am also in Jeffersonville, that sure was a pleasing site of sleet. It has been a while since I have seen it come down so hard.

We have had some sleet and snow showers down here,but its been an on again..off again..kind of thing…but I am not complaining…just thankful to get to see white stuff…it’s been sooooooooo long!!!! LOL.

One of my favorites also, i keep it on my DVR year round in case I feel like a little Christmas!
Oh i wish that was us getting that snowstorm. Oh well i have done so much christmas shopping tonight on qvc i had to put my card in the freezer i guess its cool off by now thank goodness.The xmas shoppe come’s on at midnight. chris i never had no doubt that you would hit the forecast this week.
