Good Wednesday everyone and thanks for stopping by. Today marks the last day for my WKYT reunion tour and today will also mark the end of our summer like temps. It has been a while since we did things in headline style so it’s time to break it out to break it all down.

Here goes…

1. Warm temps continue on this Wednesday with highs hitting the low 80s in most areas. We will see a few clouds and the chance for a late day shower will be with us.

2. Our cold front will be moving through the state early Thursday. High temps will be in the mid to upper 60s with breezy conditions. There is a good chance for showers. I am not expecting much in the way of heavy rains and this should not be enough to help very much with the drought. It may help us out with the forest fires, though.

3. The colder air is moving in earlier meaning our Friday will be a chilly one. Temps will have a hard time getting much past 60 for highs with a mix of sun and clouds. Any shower chance is looking small with the eastern areas having the best chance.

4. Saturday and Sunday will be chilly days with  frost looking likely both mornings as temps dip into the 30s. Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s Saturday and in the low and mid 60s Sunday.

5. Another chilly shot will be moving through early next week as a cold front swings through. This will bring another small chance for a shower or two by Tuesday.

6. A colder than normal pattern continues to take shape for next week and likely for the rest of October on average.

7. I am continuing to work on stuff for the winter forecast and will be sharing some of what I am finding in the coming weeks.

8. In case you hadn’t noticed… there is a Hurricane out there….

Have a good Wednesday and be sure to check back this evening as I plan to share some of the snow pics you have sent me over the years. I stumbled across those on my computer at KYT and thought I should share them with you before I leave… again.

Take care.
